I am standing in the blackened shell with my lamp low to the concrete, soot still drifting when I move, and the whole place smelling like wet ash, melted plastic, and that sweet ugly chemical tang you get when fire ate something it was never supposed to touch. Everyone else saw a burnt building. I saw the floor. The floor was still showing the route the fuel took before the match ever kissed it.
That is the exact clue. Not every burn mark in the county. Not a whole arson mythology lesson. One pour pattern.
